Louis Erard has just launched a new watch in collaboration with the independent watchmaking artist Vianney Halter. This new watch is as glorious as a collaboration between Louis Erard and Vianney Halter should be. This is the fourth watch we see in this collaboration; up to this point, two of the earlier watches have had a salmon finish. I would say it looks close to an almost copper-like finish, but salmon is the industry standard term. The third is a toned-down version in white and steel.

This new one is the first to be monochrome as the rhodium-plated dial has a steel brushed finish that I feel tones way better with the signature blue hands of Vianney Halter.

The watch is limited to just 178 pieces, as we often see with Louis Erard watches. The watch is relatively big for a watch with this design, as it comes in a 43 mm size. Caliber-wise, we see it houses the Selita SW266-1, which has a power reserve of 38 hours; the movement shows hours, minutes, and seconds, being a time-only caliber. The most interesting part is that it has an automatic regulator.

Now this watch does not come cheap; this can be yours for 4.500 CHF excluding tax. Louis Erard is usually very good for the price, and don’t get me wrong, this watch is beautiful and the dial is stunning, having Vianney Halter’s name associated with it also increases the value, but this price feels a bit high. That being said, this is a lovely watch that would be unique in any collection.

Let me know what you think.
