It has been a few weeks since this watch came out, and I am very late in making this article about it, but this watch is cool enough for me to be compelled to write about it so long after the fact. Oris is a brand I often have a difficult time with; some of their watches are undoubtedly great mechanically and decent design-wise. Before, there has only ever been one Oris. I have seriously considered buying that, being the Big Crown Father of Time edition. But now I have found the Oris watch that will likely sitt on the top of my Oris wishlist for years to come.
The Bullseye is, in truth, just a steel Big Crown with a sector dial, but this sector dial is one of the most compelling I have seen. Usually I tend to find sector dials a bit tacky and forced, looking at the Longines especially, but here it just flows so well, and the dimensions of the watch and the colors of the dial are magnificent.

The case is in a very comfortable 38 mm with a Swiss-made automatic movement with 41 hours of power reserve. The Big Crown is a very historic watch for Oris, as it has been in constant production since 1938. The watch has a date function where a date hand points to the date on the outer rim of the dialm giving it the pointer date monacer. I have always enjoyed that unconventional way of telling the date, as I think it improves the symmetry of the watch.
The watch has a listed water resistance of 5 bar or 50 meters, which makes it dustproof and perfect for daily use. You would not shower or swim with a watch that is only has 50 meters of resistance, and that is solidified in the fact that it comes on a very nice black leather strap. The numerals are coated with super luminescent material and contrast phenomenally with the sector dial, which is inspired by a design they made in the 1910s.

I won’t keep this longer, as this is my first post back in a while. I had to take some time away due to personal reasons I will get into at a later date. I am trying to get back into the swing of writing and recording, but no promises. As always, I want to thank everyone who read this post, as each reader means a lot to me, so from the bottom of my heart, I thank you. I will see you in the next article.
