I have once again been blessed by the watch gods in the form of reciving another watch to review and this may be my favorite to date. As the title suggests we are looking at the iconic Doxa Sub 200T unfortunatly not the classic orange but instead the blue carribian sunburst dial.

I have had a lot of fun with this watch, Doxa has always been a brand I have heavily respected but their designs have been a bit hard for me to pin and perhaps a bit too general as most of their catalog looks the same. Let’s get into the good the bad and the fantastic as we look at the Doxa Sub 200T

Lets start as I often like to do with the specs, the Sub 200T is a dive watch that comes in a slim 39 mm case with a thickness of 10.7mm, this is the sleek new version of the piece and despite the 39 mm size it wears closer to 37.5 mm. The watch is easily legible and basic as dive watches should be with 200 meter of water resistance which of course means it has a screw down crown.

The caliber is very standard and familiar as the new Sub 200T holds the Sellita SW 200-1 the movement shows the time and date with a power reserve of 38 hours. This new sleeker design in comparison to the full size sub 300 is very vearable and comfortable on the wrist.

Lets get into the bad before we get into the great, the bad is a simple thing and it really is the only bad thing about the watch, due to the outer bezel being very high polish it draws attention and color away from the dial making it feel a bit dull on a standard blue backdrop. But that really is my only complaint about the watch.

Now into the great, the new size makes it feel great, the finishing and feel of the entire watch is sublime and makes it seem a lot more of a watch than it truly is. The beads of rice bracelet is very comfortable and I find it truly beautiful. In addition to a great bracelet you have an easy to operate micro adjustment that makes the watch better for day to day and long term use.

Overall this watch is fantastic, I think the color problem is easily fixed with a more dominant color, take for instance the iconic orange and even then I found myself really wanting the watch after the time I spent with it.

For me the watch is a buy but in a different color, the price is relative attainable costing only 1490 CHF and the watch with a blue dial is a 8/10 so with the orange it is probably a 9/10

As always I thank you dear reader for going with me on this journey, I would also like to thank Doxa for being so kind as to loan me the piece. We will be back talking about Doxa on Monday as we go over the brands insanely intriguing history but in the mean time we suggest you go take a look at our catalog and see if you find an article to your liking.
